Terri Rypkema

Terri Rypkema first knew she wanted to become a counsellor in high school when she witnessed her own family struggling with parent teen conflict and the tasks of differentiation. Later, after losing her own daughter to SIDS and watching families deal with the loss of a child through SIDS or the loss of a pregnancy drew her to working with those families in a counselling setting. Terri understands what it is like to be a wife, mother, grieving parent, sister, aunt, daughter. She can relate and is just like you with the added training and experience with problem solving.

Paul Rypkema

Paul Rypkema has always felt a calling to help others starting in High School. Other students seemed drawn to discussing their problems with him and it seemed natural to pursue a degree in psychology. Paul began working with youth and their families through programs with the Ministry for Children and families. After working in administration for a number of years, Paul felt it was time to get back into counselling as well as branch out into mediation.

Paul has experience as a Conflict Resolution and Parent Teen Counsellor since 1983. In 1994 he formed a Youth Counselling Agency and acted as Executive Director/Program Manager until the Fall of 2008. His responsibilities included all aspects of running a counselling organization including clinical supervision, staff training, and management.
